Merundoi Incorporated, in collaboration with the University of Guyana/Institute of Distance and Continuing Education (IDCE),Wholesale Jerseys Online, will be conducting a Creative Writing for Dramatic Performances workshop from October 13-17. The project would be targeting young people 16 years and over.The workshop is aimed at training young people in creative writing for dramatic performances to harness the creative energy which exists among them. She further explained that participants must have some willingness and interest in the creative writing.Kaieteur News, on Friday, contacted the project coordinator, Ms. Rebecca McCutcheon, also the theatre director for the project, who expressed joy at being a part of the undertaking.She said that she strongly believes in the role of theatre in education and community work. She said that she hopes that this endeavour could tap into the huge undiscovered talents that exist in Guyana.Ms. McCutcheon opined that the project would create technical skills to promote works in Guyana.She further explained that students would be assessed on the successful completion of three pieces of work produced during the workshop.Ms. McCutcheon further disclosed that the project would introduce, plan and execute group writing projects in social change-based theatre techniques, forum theatre and verbatim theatre.
