The Ministry of Health and the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) will soon be introducing in-service midwifery training for nurses in Guyana.Minister of Health Bheri RamsaranThis is according to Minister of Health Dr. Bheri Ramsaran. The health minister made the revelation during the turning of the sod for the $263M expansion and remodeling of the maternity ward of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) last Friday.Ramsaran said the Ministry has been able to recruit the capacity to train in-service midwives.
