Consequently, Guyanese must not forget to remember the agony of living within these 83,000 square miles in fear as marauding bandits invade their homes and carted off their hard earned property while leaving their loved ones maimed or dead.One must not also, forget the long lines outside the American, Canadian and British Embassies as Guyanese sought to flee the madness and better their lives and those of their children.Those that made it into ‘the Land of Plenty’ should not arrogantly nor mercilessly ignore the plight of their fellow countrymen and women and should do everything within their power to create the kind of environment that fosters the requisite changes for all to benefit regardless of race or creed.Who was it that said that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely?
