Kevin Ally was yesterday sentenced to 13 years in prison for the March 2012 murder of construction worker,wholesale jerseys, Abdul Ghanie.The proceeding took place before Justice Brassington Reynolds and a mixed jury at the High Court in Georgetown. The murder reportedly stemmed from an argument over Phagwah Day festivities.Sentenced:Kevin AllyPolice said that Ally,Cheap NFL Jerseys, 48, of Lot 6-7 Water Street, Kingston, Georgetown was walking along Carmichael Street around 11:30 hours when he was doused with water and abeer by a group of children who were partaking in the Phagwah Day celebrations.Ally became angry. He began to stone and verbally abuse the children but Ghanie, who was working on a house nearby, intervened.He rebuked Ally for his actions towards the children given that they were just partaking in the Phagwah Day, festivities. His efforts angered Ally further. So Ally pulled out a knife and stabbed Ghanie in the abdomen.Ghanie, a father of three, of Lot 367 Enterprise and Good Hope,Cheap Jerseys, East Coast Demerara, was taken to the Woodlands Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, shortly after he arrived.A post-mortem examination which was performed on Ghanie’s remains revealed that he died from shock and haemorrhage due to the stab wound.Ally was initially facing a trial for Ghanie’s murder, but he opted to plead guilty to the lesser count of manslaughter, a few weeks ago.Given the guilty plea, a probation report was ordered by the court.? The report was presented to the court before the sentence was handed down by Justice Reynolds,Cheap Jerseys, yesterday.The report described Ally as being an academically sound person with a drug problem.The report also outlined that the accused has since expressed remorse for stabbing Ghanie.
