A Better Hope resident was remanded to jail yesterday after he pleaded not guilty to a charge of unlawfulMohan Chandrajitpossession of an illegal firearm and ammunition, when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.It is alleged that 25-year-old Mohan Chandrajit,China NFL Jerseys, a carpenter,NFL Jerseys Store, who resides at Better Hope, East Coast Demerara, had a .38 pistol in his possession when he was not the holder of a firearm licence. It was further alleged that on the same day, he had two rounds of .38 ammunition in his possession.Chandrajit was found with the items at Westminster, West Bank Demerara.The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded to prison until December 28. He stated that the defendant is the owner of the property and the illegal items were found in his presence. He stated that his client along with four of his workmates was arrested after the gun find.
