A Barara Timber Company employee and his wife perished shortly after 19:30 hrs, when a pickup slammed headlong into their motorcycle near Friendship, East Bank Demerara.Albert Pearson, 59,Anton Forsberg Jersey, and his wife,Alexander Nylander Jersey, Alicia Pearson, 62,Cheap Air Max Tn, of Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerraa, were flung into a canal and were already dead when residents dragged them out.Dead: Alicia PearsonEyewitnesses said that both victims sustained multiple injuries and would not have survived anyhow.According to reports, the couple, while heading home, was travelling south along the East Bank Demerara Public Road when the pickup, which was heading in the opposite direction, slammed into their motorcycle.Pearson and his wife were pitched into a canal on the eastern section of the roadway. The pickup also ended up in the same canal.A female resident said that she was with friends further up the roadway when she heard a loud sound. The woman said that they then spotted Alicia Pearson floating in the canal.
