He also claimed to be a senior security official with the state.Luciana BhagwandinAccording to reports, the suspect had met Luciana in late 2009, when the young woman and her husband had resided at Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara.Relatives blame him for causing the couple to separate. He had also allegedly placed a gun to her head once.Luciana’s associates also said that the man would sometimes pick up the trainee teacher in a dark-blue car with heavily tinted windowsLuciana reportedly visited her parents in December and Mrs. Narine said that she pleaded with her daughter to end the relationship with ‘Jerry’.“I told her to go back to college (and) that we would support her.” She stayed with her parents until January 2, 2010, before returning to the home of her female relative.On January 8, 2010, Luciana left the relative’s home after saying that she was going to a supermarket.She was never seen alive again.But according to some of Luciana’s friends, she was reportedly in the vicinity of Ogle,China Jerseys, when the occupants of a dark-coloured vehicle abducted her.Her body was found two days later at Harlem.Police have since appealed to the public for information on the suspect, but no leads appear to be forthcoming.Luciana’s mother said that they have even spoken to Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee to ensure that her daughter’s unsolved murder does not remain unsolved.“This is really sad and really hard (on us),’ Mrs. Narine said yesterday.“If these people (the killer(s)) know what they did to us. She didn’t deserve this.“Every single day we are trying to find a clue.”
