He said that he was able to view industrial relations from all levels.He outlined the challenges faced by Barbados in the early 1990’s in relation to the economic crisis and the introduction of social partners and the current challenges facing Barbados.Heading the Guyana delegation was Gardener who made a presentation on the system of dispute resolution in Guyana.Gardener brought greetings from the Minister of Labour, Manzoor Nadir,China Jersyes Cheap, the Permanent Secretary and staff of the LOSH department of Guyana and thanked the Barbadian Government for the invitation and looked forward to working towards improving their relationship and the strengthening of the Labour Department in Guyana.Gardener discussed the legal framework in dispute resolution in Guyana.She explained the process of Dispute Resolution and some of the challenges faced in resolving disputes in Guyana.Felix gave the final presentation of the day. It featured an overview of the historical, legal and institutional framework including landmark cases, and existing and proposed legislation.The seminar continued yesterday with the delegation attending the Barbados Annual Labour Department Employers’ Industrial Relations Seminar and conciliation meeting and paying a courtesy call on the Barbadian Minister of Labour.
