A robbery at Arif’s Service Station at Onderneeming, West Coast Berbice went badly wrong for the perpetrators last night when a gun-toting bandit shot his partner dead, while trying to shoot the fuel station supervisor.The bandit, who is still to be identified, was shot in the centre of the forehead by his accomplice, who reportedly fled the scene in a car that belonged to a customer who was there to refuel. The vehicle was recovered at Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice, some three villages away from the scene of the robbery.The robber is believed to have escaped with about $100,000.Police reportedly recovered a knife, a mobile phone, and a pair of sunshades from the slain man.
