One of the most important aspects of epistemology that every human being should understand is the inherent separation between logic and morality. The logical coherence of a motive is not interconnected with moral values. An action can be determined by the logic of a situation, which is totally unrelated to its moral foundation. To put it simply, a process can be logical yet wrong. The examples are countless. We can start with the state of Israel. Jews are motivated by the need to have a territory for themselves. So they don’t care who they displace. Now, logics determine their action, but it is wrong to take the land of other people. The story of the Guyanese East Indians is perhaps one of the few departures in life, where action has no logic,Adidas Nmd Pink Shoes, and that action is essentially immoral. After Burnham came to power, logics dictated that African Guyanese supported the PNC.The African thinking was that if the PPP took control of the Government, Africans would be the losers. Sounded logical. Then morality stepped in. As nationalization intensified and Burnham became all-powerful, democracy began to wane. Africans became disenchanted with the PNC, but logics still reigned – the alternative was the PPP, so Africans tolerated Burnham’s excesses.Logics gave way to morality after Walter Rodney returned to Guyana. From hereon, Africans gravitated to the Working People’s Alliance (WPA). They knew Burnham’s rule had deteriorated,Cheap NFL Jerseys Free Shipping, and there was now a choice for them – the WPA was not an East Indian party. By the time Burnham died (August 6, 1985),Womens NFL Jerseys, African Guyanese had broken with the PNC.Though not inclined to head in the direction of the PPP, they came to the conclusion that they wanted the PNC to go.? From 1992 onwards, East Indians adopted the logics of their African counterparts. They continuously voted for the PPP, logically arguing to anyone who condemned their racial ballot that there was no East Indian alternative and their motive was to keep out the PNC.This logical situation has gone on for too long,CHeap NFL Jerseys China, and morality has been left behind. In 2006, logics collapsed and the support of the East Indians for the PPP from thereon could be interpreted as highly immoral. This perspective is valid because, at that time there were East Indian alternatives. Ravi Dev came on the scene with no baggage and a clean slate. His party, ROAR, functioned within an agenda that had the welfare of East Indians as a priority. ROAR was followed by a multi-racial entity, the Alliance For Change ( AFC).The Africans in the 2006 elections abandoned logics and embraced morality,http://www.theworldsoccersshop.com/Belgium-Yannick-Carrasco-Jersey.html, as they first did when Walter Rodney came upon the scene in 1974.Their votes gave the AFC six Parliamentary seats at the 2006 general elections. The East Indians chose not to withdraw their electoral support for the PPP. Two years have passed since 2006 and there are no discernible signs of a protest movement from the East Indians. More incredible to understand is why the East Indians in the Diaspora still persevere with this party when both logics and ethics should shape their temperament. There is now no logical or moral reason for the traditional PPP constituencies to remain within the fold of the PPP. Abroad, the East Indians of Richmond Hill should have ostracized the PPP monarchs since Jagan died.Where are the logics and morality in persevering with Freedom House? They live in the US, so there is no fear of being swamped by the PNC as when there were citizens here. They do not depend on the PPP for jobs. They have relatives in Guyana, where both the economy and social life are gradually deteriorating. Surely,Wholesale Nike NFL Jerseys, is it not time to reflect on the nature of the PPP and the nature of PPP rule? How can sugar workers still vote for the PPP? Pick up any issue of the Thunder or Mirror since the Government of Forbes Burnham instituted the sugar levy, and you will find that the condemnation was insanely hostile. Special booklets on the subject were printed by the Mirror and distributed on the sugar estates. GAWU struck when the levy was imposed.PPP insurgents burned cane fields. Sugar factories were sabotaged. The entire sugar community, from Wales in Demerara to Skeldon in Berbice, was told that the sugar levy was an act specially designed to hurt sugar workers. If there was any reason to believe that sugar workers and East Indians in general would have broken with the PPP, it was when the Governments of Cheddi Jagan, Janet Jagan and Bhar
