Equipping school dropouts and single parents with skills for life through various training programmes has been ongoing for several years.More than 350 youths and single parents graduated from two separate training programmes (Enhanced Public Trust Security and Inclusion (EPTSI) and the Single Parents training) yesterday at the National Cultural Centre.According to Coreen Connelly, Project Coordinator, the government in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme- EPTSI and the Single Parents Training sought to empower young men, women and single parents.The graduates are from Regions Four, Five, Six and Ten and they were exposed to training in over six occupational areas.She noted that the 186 single parents received training in catering and cake decoration, cosmetology and garment construction by the Board of Industrial Training via the Ministry of Labour, Human Services and Social Security.The 169 trainees of the UNDP/EPTSI programme completed training in electrical installation, basic air conditioning, electrical and fuel system, information technology and office procedures, catering, cosmetology,Cheap Basketball Jerseys, and mechanic respectively, Connelly added.Of the 203 youths who signed up for the UNDP/ EPSTI programme only 169 graduated.
