One of the suggestions put forward by the opposition party to rectify this is to reconstruct the bridge with a larger tunnel for the water to flow beneath it.Barabina, an Amerindian Village, was also one of the other communities visited.During the visit it was discovered that the main road in Barabina is under three feet of water.It was outlined that the village is inhabited by lots of poor Amerindians who cannot afford to pay high transportation costs, however, night and day they have to slush through the water, due to the state of the road and they have to pay $100 to get on a boat to move from one end of the road to the other.
